About Amber

Amber Lynn Perry, author

Welcome! I am so happy you are here! As someone with an overwhelming love of history, I live with one half of my heart in the present, and one half in the past. Next to being a wife and mother, connecting with readers through the stories I create is the greatest joy I have. The Lord is so good in giving me this life~~I am so grateful.

The Revolutionary War era has been a passion of mine since childhood. I always longed to live in my imagination and make the past come alive--from cobblestone streets and cocked hats, to embroidered gowns and the cry for liberty. Today I get to live that dream every time I sit down to write. My stories are for readers who long to be transported — to feel the weight of a wool cloak, hear the distant drum of a marching regiment, and fall in love alongside women who refused to let the world define them.

Faith & Writing

Why I Write

Faith, and the pursuit of freedom is woven into every story I tell — not as a backdrop, but as the very heartbeat of my characters' journeys. I hope that readers will come away with a greater appreciation for and understanding of America's founding, and why it's so important. What better why to do that than by reading a romance, right? I love to craft stories full of God, grace and goodness so that readers say farewell to my characters with a full and happy heart.

A Few Things About Me

HomeThe shadows of Zion National park is where we call home. God's handiwork of red rock and desert sunsets palate our lives with beauty and lots of adventure. It's a great place to raise a family.
ObsessionsColonial history, anything antique, steaming soups, and bookshops with creaky floors.
Research habitConfession: I am always looking for a new book about American history to read or listen to. I feel like I have so many facts in my head that new ones push out the old ones so I have to go back and relearn things. LOL It's embarrassing.
When not writingYou'll find me hiking with my family, haunting used bookstores, or rewatching period dramas
